Torre 4 & 6 Portugal

This was the first explosive demolition tower block project to be carried out in Portugal. It was part of the regeneration of the Troia Resort, located 50 miles south of Lisbon.

The two 1970's built 24-storey in-situ reinforced concrete hotels were never fully completed. The bare structures had stood for 30 years. After six weeks of preparation and pre-weakening the Prime Minister of Portugal pushed the plunger.
