MUSE Developments directly employed Controlled Group Ltd to demolish Doncaster College's former Waterdale Campus.

The whole site, including the college and two disused schools were demolished in 16 weeks to make way for new developments in the town centre.

Items of historical interest, like the Clock Tower on the former Beechfield School have been carefully removed and saved for use in council exhibitions in the future

During the nesting season work focused on Archaeological surveys, asbestos removal and stripping out the buildings to protect any active bird’s nests located in the area.

Demolition and site clearance then took place at the end of the summer when the nesting season had ended.

All hard materials such as brick and concrete  have been processed and crushed to specified sizes so they can be re-used as aggregate in the construction phase.

A large amount has been used to fill in the basement areas so the site is left in a safe condition.
