In September 1984 Controlled Group safely carried out their first explosive demolition, since Controlled Group has completed hundreds of schemes, nationally and internationally, attaining the reputation of being one of the world’s finest explosive demolition companies.

Offering a wealth of knowledge our engineers have brought down, amongst other high rise structures, a power station in India, hotels in Dubai and tower blocks in Norway. Whether we carry out a full turnkey explosive demolition from site survey to completion or act as consultants to large organisations, the service we provide is second to none.

Our ability to provide solutions for the demolition of structures in locations thought to be too restricted or confined has seen us undertake projects all over the globe. Meticulous planning ensures the surrounding environment endures little or no disturbance.

Our explosives division provided the planning and coordination involved in the setting up of exclusion zones, road closures, the evacuation of residents and all associated issues leaving our clients free to concentrate on other matters.

Controlled Group has carried out explosive demolition in 12 countries, appeared in Hollywood movies, had a series on Channel 4 made about our work in this field and still had time to drop a tower block with a car on top for the BBC series Top Gear.
